Q: What year did you join the E-board and what made you join?
A: 2005. I joined the Executive Board because I believe that unions are one of the most important developments in the history of the labor movement in the USA. I also wanted to contribute my expertise related to organization and leadership to implement the mission of the UF.
Q: What is your role on the E-Board (board member, VP, treasure, etc.)?
A: My role is an Executive Board member for CCC.
Q: Can you share something about the work we do, what you get out of it, and what keeps you here? Feel free to share anything surprising about the work that you didn't anticipate before joining?
A: As a union, the UF represents full-time professors and adjunct professors in the negotiations of our collective bargaining agreements. I get the satisfaction of knowing that the UF is dedicated to implementing its mission. I continue to serve on the Executive Board of the UF because I believe that people with institutional memory need to make themselves available to new hires and others so that the organization will continue to meet its mission as it interacts with different interest groups.
